Most Frequently Asked Questions

  • Question: Is Account trading allowed?
  • Sales and trading of accounts is bannable. Trading, sharing, selling, and buying of accounts is not recommended. Doing it will not be supported in any way. World chatting to sell accounts will result in a warning, a mute, and then a ban. Both traders will be banned on all connected accounts as we deem necessary.
  • Question: What happens if I accidentally refine past the max refine?
  • You are not obligated to read the server's rules, but it is beneficial to your gaming experience. If you go past the max refine you will get banned.
  • Question: What is a GM?
  • GM is short for Game Master/Moderator. A person who acts as an organizer, officiant for questions regarding rules, arbitrator, and moderator for a multiplayer role-playing game. They enforce the game's rules by banishing spammers, cheaters and hackers, and by solving players' problems by providing general customer service.
  • Question: What is GS?
  • Game Sages, known as GS' are selected for their overall excellent knowledge in a game as well as their willingness to help and their positive attitudes. They help resolve player issues where they can and will call a GM if needed and when they can.
  • Question: Are GS' the same as GMs?
  • Yes and no. GMs and GS' are normal players who play the game out of enjoyment. GMs use special tools and characters for their tasks that allow them to do things like teleport to players, summon items, and browse logs that record players' activities. GS' don't have these tools or any sort of access to any logs. They are simply an "agent" you contact with errors and issues.
  • Question: Can a Game Sage spawn monsters for me? Give me items?
  • No. Game Sages have no special tools for in-game work, they are normal players. As such they are permitted to hand out their own items at their own discretion.
  • Question: Can a GM spawn bosses or monsters for me? Give me items?
  • That would be a violation of rules to randomly spawn monsters and bosses at the whim of every player who needs something (e.g. certain drops off World Bosses). GMs are only allowed to use their GM Console for events or taking care of rule breakers. As stated before, GMs are normal players too, however trading off their GM chars is strictly forbidden outside events. They are closely monitored by the Admins. Do not ask a GM for items.
  • Question: Do Game Sages or Game Masters get paid for their work?
  •  They are volunteers and don't get paid for their services and contribution to the community and the game. Any trade related situations are strictly monitored by Admins and are dealt with accordingly.

  • Question: Where do I see events? How do I win them?
  • Events hosted by our GMs are always on the Monkey Dynasty homepage, on the left side right under the "Staff Online" interface. They are published at least 2, if not more, days in advance so that everyone who visits the page can join if they wish. They are also frequently advertised on our official Facebook page. Each event has a time and date stamp and the rules posted on it, so there can be no excuses. If you decide to take part of an event, you are not guaranteed to win unless the rules state there are participation prizes as well. All you have to do is have fun and not be a sore loser.
  • Question: How do I make money?
  • There are lots of different ways to making gold on Monkey Dynasty. As the gold rate and drop rate is 40x, you get a lot more from invigorating on mobs with white names than you would on Official.
